Definitely better because this book is rocking my world--I'm actually making myself ration it because it's so good, so sweet, so heart-rending that to read too much in one sitting is too hard. This is a book to linger over.
That said, let us get on with the tease:
"'Does your dad have any clothes he doesn't need? Even a pair of pants would be great. I mean, I like this towel, don't get me wrong, it's just that where I come from, I usually like to wear pants,'" (p. 43).This is a scene from the first time that Henry (the time traveler, aged 36) and Clare (the time-traveler's wife, aged 6) meet. It's too cute and romantic.
Interesting tid-bit... I know a lot of you will have already read this book (and enjoyed it), so have heart, Niffenegger has completed work on her second novel and it will probably be published in the fall of this year. Also, the film adaptation of this book (starring Eric Bana as Henry and Rachel McAdams as Clare) is set to be released in February 2010. Read more about it all here.

Great teaser -- I remember that scene. And thanks for the news about the new book and the movie.
I still haven't read this one either. I feel a little daunted by how much everyone loves it, I think... but I really should just get up the nerve. The teaser is very cute.
Have read about this book, that it's a tear jerker!
Yet to read it!
Here is my post
I haven't read this book yet, which is weird since I really want to and I've heard great things about it. I hope you're enjoying it. :)

Great Teaser, I've not read it, but it sounds worthy of adding to my list!
I feel like this book is stalking me. Everywhere I go someone tells me I need to read it. Well I'm trying - but my library isn't cooperating. I'll be glad when my lucky number finally comes up on the waiting list! Thanks for the Teaser to get me through the wait.
I finished The Time Traveler's wife just last month and I absolutely loved it!
I wouldn't say that you're behind, I recently finished Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier and that book was written in 1936 ;)
