Quote of the Day

I thought that today's Quote of the Day should be banned because this was the beginning of Banned Books Week. Instead, I've decided to bring you a quote from a banned book that I have read.

"Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open."
That little quote is taken from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling (2000)--a book series that is banned because it promotes the Wiccan religion. What's unfortunate is that, like the quote says, if we close ourselves off because books promote a difference in habits or language (or religion), then we've closed ourselves off to the world and will cease to grow.

Dude, that was seriously profound.
