I am organizing a reading challenge of Pulitzer Prize-winning works of fiction. Here are the rules:
1. Review the previous winners on the Pulitzer Prize website, and select five titles that have won the award during your lifetime.
2. Post an entry on your blog about which five titles you've selected, then post a comment here linking directly to that post.
3. Complete your reading of all the novels before October 31, 2009.
4. Post an entry on your blog when you're done reading all the books and write a brief summary/review/your thoughts (or compile a list of where you previously posted throughout the year), then post another comment here linking directly to that post.
On November 1, 2009, one lucky contestant who completed the contest will be selected as the winner (at random). Winners will get to select another five titles of award-winning books (Caldecott Medal, Newberry Medal, Printz Award, Pulitzer Prize, Man Booker Prize, Noble Prize in Literature, etc.) and they will be shipped to them.
If you have any questions, please email me or put it in a comment below.
If you're not smitten with the Pulitzer Prize books, never fear... we'll be setting up challenges for the Printz Award (Young Adult Literature), or you can partake in the Read the Nobels Challenge.
