Lots 'o Reading... Round Two

Last year I signed up for the Annual 48-Hour Reading Challenge with an idealistic plan to read 3.5 books (plus start another) and get five book reviews written. So naive. I ended up reading for 10.5 hours in the 48-hour period, finished the book I was in the middle of, read another one, and wrote three reviews. Kind of lame.

But does that stop me from signing up again this year? Heck no!

As I wrote in my "Starting Line," post last year, "With 48 hours of reading, everybody's a winner."

So here are the deets on this year's challenge, if you want to join in.
The weekend is June 4–6, 2010. Read and blog for any 48-hour period within the Friday-to-Monday-morning window...

The books should be about fifth-grade level and up. Adult books are fine, especially if adult book bloggers want to play... Graphic novels can be included in the reading. One audiobook can also be included in your time and book total.

The top three winners will be based only on time commitment, not number of books. So if you are heading into the 30+ hours club or 40+ hours club, track your time carefully. International winners may be given gift cards instead books due to mailing costs, unless a U.S. address is provided.
